The eco-friendliness of the carton

Jun 04, 2024

Today, with increasing attention to environmental protection, cartons, as a green packaging material, have received more and more attention and favor.

The environmental protection of cartons is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

First of all, the raw material of cartons is mainly a renewable resource - pulp. This raw material is derived from renewable materials such as waste paper and wood, and through recycling, processing and reuse, it can effectively reduce the over-exploitation of natural resources, thereby reducing the damage to the environment. In addition, with the advancement of science and technology, the recycling rate of waste paper is also increasing, which further enhances the environmental protection attributes of cartons.

Secondly, cartons do not need to use a lot of chemical raw materials and additives in the production process, so the production process is less polluting to the environment than other packaging materials, such as plastic or metal. At the same time, the production process of cartons is relatively simple and the energy consumption is low, which also contributes to environmental protection.

Furthermore, the carton has good degradability during use. In nature, cartons can be decomposed by microorganisms and eventually returned to the earth, without causing long-term pollution to soil and water sources. In contrast, the decomposition process of some plastic or metal packaging materials in the natural environment can last for decades or even centuries, putting pressure on ecosystems. Finally, cartons have a high recycling value after they are discarded. Due to its single material, it is relatively easy to recycle and can be easily recycled, thereby reducing the environmental impact of waste. In many countries and regions, there are special waste paper recycling systems, which makes the recycling of cartons more convenient.

To sum up, cartons fully reflect their environmental protection with their renewable, low pollution, easy degradation and high recycling value.
